Collin turns 3

Collin turned 3 last week. We had a small celebration at home since his party is this weekend. We had homemade pizza and cupcakes. It's hard to believe he is already 3. Collin is doing great. He is loving school and is making lots of friends. He still loves books. Right now his favorite is a book about dolphins he got from Grandma Jan and Boppa. He is also really enjoying the Dr. Seuss stories at bedtime....I think he likes the stories but he also likes that they are long so that prolongs bedtime :) He also loves to help out in the kitchen. He helps make pancakes, salad, mac and cheese, basically anything that he can stir. When I start cooking he runs in the kitchen and says "I want to help! I'm your little chef!" It's really sweet. He of course loves to be outside. We get to the park when we can, but I really need an extra pair of eyes since Nate is really on the move these days. Collin is doing very well with potty training. We had our first day at school this week without pull-ups and he had no accidents. Really he only wears them when he sleeps. His favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Backyardigans, and Word World. The boys have been playing nice together. They still have battles but you can tell they enjoy each other.

Halloween

Halloween was a big day for the kids. We spent a few hours at the pumpkin patch with Shelbi and her family. The kids played in the bounce houses and went on a hay ride. They played in hay mazes and collected mini pumkins. They had a lot of fun. Then that night the boys dressed up for trick or treating. Collin was so excited to go get candy. At the 2nd or 3rd house we went to he held his bucket up and said "I need some candy" instead of "trick or treat." Fortunately the neighbors thought that was funny. Nate did really well. He actually would carry his bucket to the door and hold it out. By the 2nd street he was saying trick or treat, which is his longest phrase.....though we might be the only ones that understood what he was saying but it was so cute. It was a hot day in Texas so by the time we were done Collin was exhausted in his fleece monkey costume. All in all it was a great day.

Collin and I made Halloween cupcakes today. This was his favorite part!!Nate loves to ride in his wagon outside. This one is for his legos but he really wanted to ride in it.
Collin wanted to help!!

"Brandon and Colleen" Supper Club

This time for Supper Club we decided to surprise Brandon and Colleen and dress up as them. We had a lot of laughs. See if you can pick out who the real one's are!!

Two cute pictures

Chef Collin

Getting ready for Halloween

These are Collin's old costumes from the past two years. We dug them out for fun. They were going to be firemen this year but Collin has decided he will be a monkey again this year. I have a cute Fireman costume that Leslie let us borrow so I am hoping Nate will wear that. I will definitely get some pictures of him in that outfit too.

I did not put him up to this. Collin insisted on trying this one on. He wore this when he was 1. I noticed on Leslie's blog, that Evan did the same thing with his Elephant costume. Whatever keeps them entertained. I certainly got a kick out of watching them run around in these. We may have to do this more often throughout the year!
Here is this years version of carving pumpkins. Grandma Jan and Boppa sent these to the kids and we had fun deciding on the faces. Each pumpkin has another face on the back. This was so much easier than carving and I am hoping they don't go bad as fast either.

Collin's trip to Milwaukee

Getting ready for the flight.

Collin was so good on the plane. He watched one video and we read some books.

Collin had a great time with Uncle Paul.

We went to lunch with Aunt Lisa's family, Sarah and Bubby, and had a great time.

Bubby (Aunt Lisa's Mom) bought Collin the biggest cookie this cafe had. Collin was so excited. It actually took him 3 days to eat it.

Collin really enjoyed this PB&J

We spent some time in Madison.
Aunt Lisa was trying to teach Collin how to skip rocks on the water.
